However, this was without much thought and consideration of the consequences of starting a unilateral war against ISIS. Also, it is almost undisputable that Obama was more interested in exercising the president War Powers and to also leave behind a legacy of his term in office. Therefore, this warrants a review of the president War Powers to avoid possible abuse of the powers in the future.Position of CongressThough the Obama administration has failed to live up to the 60-day provision of the War powers Resolution, it is still important that Congress supports the fight against ISIS. This is because of the ever looming danger due to the activities of such terror groups.
